Matters Arising # c.c.t.v. cameras, three should be installed by December at the latest.
# According to Derek plans for the Go-Kart arena in the Marshalls warehouse have been scrapped.
# We resubmitted an application for a new but smaller van to Coalfields Regeneration Trust, This is for a five seat van under 10 thousand pounds, We have been
successful, The van a Renault Kangoo 5 seat van arrives on eighth October.
# The European regeneration funding bid has granted us £9000 to fund a programme of events to run between October and end of March 08, These activities will be
a mixed bag of activities, Some for Children, Teenagers, Women and Girls, Adults And the over fifties, Something for everyone.
# Sauchie United is the title given to the meeting on 10th October that all Sauchie organisations have been invited to, This is to find ways of supporting each other and
promoting all that is good in Sauchie.
# The Office upgrade is now complete, You can now have Tea or Coffee when coming to the monthly meeting.
# We will now seek Grant funding to convert our heating and lighting to energy efficient.
# The Land to the rear of the Resource Centre, At last it looks as though the Council may well give us the land we need to build our extension, ( Fingers Crossed).
# The Roundabout a Whins Road is to have the Shrubs removed to allow better visibility.
# Trees are now to be planted on the grass plot at Burnside Street.
Guest Speaker # Julie Hamilton from Clackmannanshire Council introduced herself and the work she does for the Council, There is plans to upgrade the Main
Streets in both Dollar and Alva, This was our chance to have our say about what should be done to improve Sauchie Main Street.
These are the main suggestions, Reduce or remove the hideous shrubs from the raised plots, Introduce more parking spaces - In particular in front of the chemist
shop area, A pelican crossing between the junctions of Greygoran and Beechwood, Traffic lights to be introduced at the junction of Greygoran Main street, Flashing
30 signs at the top and bottom of Main Street.

Councillors Report Dereks report is as follows, The LADA shop in Sauchie is closing soon, There are two new shops opening in Sauchie, One is a bakers shop
which is part of a major change, The other is open now and it's a Physiotherapy shop.
The new Sauchie Hospital has been delayed because of mine workings, But things are progressing well.
There is a new joint venture between Stirling and Clackmannanshire Councils Out of Hours Noise Team.
The College is moving to the old Hawkhill school site and therefore the College grounds will inevitably be sold for housing development.
A review of street cleaning has identified one or two areas that need a bit more attention, This is usually caused bi illicit dumping.
There is a meeting in October to review the future of leisure provision in Clackmannanshire, At this point working groups will be set up, At this point it is not clear if
the public will be involved in these workshops.

Leisure Report Keith gave the following report. The Fun weekend in September went well, On the Friday night the Blue Light Disco was terrific with no problems
at all, On the night there were 140 teenagers, The Film shows also went well, The Saturday night was a lower than expected turn out which was a shame as the
Singer Steve Allen was fantastic, The Kayaking and Canoe taster sessions were successful as well.
The next event is Twist and Shout a Beatles tribute night in Sauchie Hall on the 12th October 8pm-11.30pm-doors open 7.30pm, On the night there will be a Bar
and raffle, Tickets are £6.
The next Fun Weekend is on Friday 2nd November Blue light Disco Then on Saturday The double Film Show and on the Saturday night a dance and perhaps
something on the Sunday as well.
On Friday 14th December is a a dance featuring vocal duo The Robins.
On Monday 31st December is The Hogmanay Dance with Keyboard player and singer Mark Walker.
A.O.B # Could busses be introduced again via Sauchie Hall, This could happen once the new roundabout comes to the Hallpark road junction at some point next
year.
# The three million deficit is not a problem to the Council as this money was wish list money and not a part of normal work. (DS).
# The sixteen million for the new schools was known about three years ago and was planned for. (DS).
# Various issues relating to busses- When exiting Beechwood the bus misses the stop in Main Street, When there is a driver or bus short Mackies remove the
Pompee Road service after 6pm, First bus run three busses an hour and none go by Mar Place, (KT) will write to these companies on these matters.
# Abbeycraig Road - trees are encroaching properties and causing damage, Blocks street lighting, (KT) to send a letter.
The Access Point/Library in Sauchie is not closing and will not be closing (DS).
# The housing development at the former Todds yard is still going ahead.
# Gloria will be selling Calendars For Guide Dogs For the Blind at next months meeting.
# A suggestion was made to look at using the former pidgeon club as a youth drop in, (DS)
# Susan Paterson has agreed to fill the vacant role of Depute Social Convener.
