# The Sauchie United idea of all Sauchie organisations working together has come a wee bit unstuck, At the special meeting only 6 of the possible 22 Sauchie
organisations turned up, If you add the apologies to those turning up then there were twelve organisations willing to co-operate, We will now work with them where and
when we can (KT)
Guest Speaker Finlay Robertson from the Councils Cultural and Community Services gave an insight in to the Sauchie Active8 project that will run until the end of
March, # We started off with football in Fairfield Park, There has also been 4 outdoor canoeing and kayaking sessions, We have also been working with the
Community Group on the Fun Weekends. There will be a Sauchie women and girls group starting Wednesday 7th November 6pm-8pm the topics range from fitness,
Aerobics, body toning, beauty therapy, light dance, arts and crafts.
There will be a steering group set up to take this beyond March.
# The next thing will be outdoor cycling sessions at Gartmorn Dam and Devilla Forrest, This will take place between November and December and From January to
March, # We also plan to book Alva Swimming Pool for indoor kayaking sessions these activities are for all ages. These activities have been helped by the C.P.T.R. by
their publicity spokesperson Kirsty Nelson, There is also hopefully going to be a teen football team starting soon with the support of Sauchie Juniors and Sauchie
Athletic.
Police Report P.C. George Hastie gave the following report, There was an alleged robbery in Hallpark, An ongoing traffic operation with regards to mobile phones
and the condition of vehicles, We are looking for information on any drug dealers, Contact George at Sauchie police office or call crime stoppers, Also any information
on people supplying alcohol to children would be appreciated
Lastly the cameras will be going up by the beginning of January, the areas were chosen by the amounts of complaints over the last few years, these are the hot spots.
Councillors Report Gary gave the following report, # He put in a Councillors enquiry as to the future of the Fairfield School play equipment after the school is sold, #
Contractors are now on site in Roundlewood to fix the leaking vestibules, # The condition of the footpaths in the Housing areas up from the Greygoran bridge are being
looked at. # There is a new initiative called Core path which will give local people the chance to flag up concerns about the condition of woodland walkways that are not
in right of ways. # There is to be more effort with regards to street sweeping at the flats behind Main Street also there should be a new light fitted on the flats at the rear
of 100, # The issue of blue bins being spilt either by wind/dog or person, the Council are looking at improving this situation by introducing a blue wheelie bin.
# Main Street shrubs are to be cut back, the signs at the Whins Road roundabout are to be reduced and the shrubs removed.
# The shrubs at Sauchie Nursery School have now been cut back, # The homeless unit in Diverswell is closed for the near future. Gary has spoken to Julie Hamilton
with regards the Main Street issues and will keep the momentum going. # There is a 3-12 review looking at all primary child care there is also a review of all leisure
provision.
# The reference to last months 16 million for schools and 3.5 million council cuts are real costs and the Council reserves which should sit at 2.5 million are down to 100
thousand pounds. # As a result of the loss of the five a side football pitch at Keilarsbrae there is a 6 figure sum ring fenced for Sauchie to allow a replacement facility,
Gary would like to hear from parents and teenagers as to what and where would they like the money spent, either an indoor or outdoor facility.
At this point Sandra asked if this money could be used to turn the former Scout Hall in to a Youth Centre, Keith highlighted Dereks suggestion of purchasing a part of
the farmers fields as an all weather kick around, The field at the back of Deerpark was highlighted for play facilities as well.

On Monday 31st December is The Hogmanay Dance with Keyboard player and singer Mark Walker.
We will now be returning to a tried and tested formula for the 2008 social events, booking only what people will want to go to, there will not be any experiments as
these have failed us over the last two years, Its not a question of what we would like but what the paying public want and are likely to go to.
A.O.B # Why can't Sauchie Nursery School relocate to the Fairfield School site as this is a well maintained building fully double glazed, disabled access, parking
facilities, safe dropping off areas, There should be public consultation on this issue after all if the Nursery relocates then the Council could sell the old Nursery site and
would still be able to raise money towards the 16 million for the new Schools, (GW).
# Could the traffic lights in Main Street be checked as there seems to be only a few seconds of time to cross the road before the lights turn from red back to green
(GW).

will be updated to incorporate the new members and a bigger version with photos from our activities being placed in the Sauchie Library.
