Matters Arising # Main Street issues, I have invited Alan Murray from the Councils Roads department to attend either the July or August meeting.
# Kim Reid from Forth Valley College will hopefully meet with laura soon to discuss the courses mentioned at the May meeting.
Guest Speaker # Alston Birnie from A.L. King the Builders came along and gave us a talk about the proposed housing development in the fields next to
Ten Acres, After this there were questions and answers highlighting peoples concerns hopes and aspirations, A report based on this will go to C.V.S. in Alloa as Mike and Enid Trevett are working on the publics behalf to make their views heard.
Our main concerns are simple, We want to ensure the site has play facilities for children and teenagers, We want to see green belt with trees and
a walkway through to Lornshill, An upgrade in the surrounding woodland walks, A reasonable amount of affordable houses with some for disabled, Upgrades to the water system and roads to and from the site.
An all weather football pitch and an extension to Sauchie Resource Centre which would allow us to recruit more members especially from the
new householders
The Craigbank School run is already a nightmare with dropping of as there is only one access road perhaps a road could go from Greygoran to
Fairfield road.
To employ as many local people on this site as possible
Police Report Roy gave us his last report before moving on to pastures new. Pc George Hastie will replace him here.
Roy thanked the Group for all the support he received during his time as a Community police officer.
At this point the Group gave Roy a parting gift and thanked him for his work with us, We wish him all the best.
Housing Report Marie Panaro gave the following report, There hasn't been any objections to the stopping up of the footpath at the garage sit in Rosebank
so this should now go ahead. # The garage site at the back of Main Street will have the work done over the next few weeks. # The gardens in Main Street are finished. # There was a site visit at Lochbrae/Craigview/Diverswell to check out the wheelie bin issue, Only two were lying out on the pavement and the tenants were lettered about this.Void housing 3x 1 bed flats, 4x2 bed flats,2x 3 bed flats, 2x1 bed bungalows, 2x2 bed maisonettes, 1x 2 bed house, 1x 3 bed house
Questions - Could the trees up at Gartmorn Road ( Down from the School ) be cut back, This is a Land Services issue ( MP KT ). # It is illegal to leave a
bin on a public footpath unless on bin day anyone leaving their bin on a public footpath could face a fine. # The footpath between Ten Acres and Abbeycraig Road has not been swept for about a year, This is a Land Services issue, ( MP KT ). # If a private owner leaves their garden in a mess this is an environmental issue for the Environmental Link Warden to deal with. # Litter from the school kids walking to and from Deerpark School is worse at the top of Gartmorn Road - How often does this get swept and is it often enough to deal with the issue, Again this is a Land Services issue, It was pointed out the council can issue fixed penalties for dropping litter. ( MP KT ).
There are trees on grass land at the back of Beechwood on a council grass plot that need cut back ( Land Services ) ( MP KT ).
Councillors Report Gary gave the following report, He now has surgeries at Greenfield, Sauchie Cap and perhaps some in the Resource Centre, In terms
of the council there has been issues regarding a housing development between Woodlea Park and Woodlea Gardens, weeds in various locations, Also the councils Scrutiny Committee shows the council reserves sitting at eight hundred thousand pounds as opposed to the two million that is recommended, This will mean the council will have to make some tough decisions, I raise this because I hope this does not have any Sauchie impacts which I would resist in particular any threat to Sauchie Nursey or School or Cap. There is an ongoing review called the 3-12 review about nursey and primary education which recommends that nursery schools should be located in primary schools to cover the catchment areas of the primary schools, Gary has requested a meeting with Dave Jones Chief Executive of the Council to discuss the various Sauchie issues including what are the council doing to improve Sauchie since the dispersal order ended.
There is also a paper going to the council to discuss grass cutting to see if some areas can be left uncut to promote wild life.
Questions - Has the old Scout Hall been sold to Margaret Blackwood Housing Association, Have not heard but will enquire.
Leisure Report Laura gave the following report. The next two events are Bus Trips, The first is to Largs on Saturday 14th July and the Second one is on
Saturday 18th August to the Scottish Borders - The two stops will be Gala and Moffat.
The Tickets to these two trips are £7 each, Each Trip is with a forty eight seat bus.
For Tickets Phone Laura 722978.
Future events, October 12th is a Beatles tribute night and in on 14th December is a Christmas dance with vocal duo -The Robins, We still hope to confirm

A.O.B # The local Licensing Forum is looking for local people to join it to help implement new regulations governing licenses, ( SG ) will represent us.
# Leaflets are now in for the annual garden competition.
#Clackmannanshire Community Health Partnership hold regular meetings to discuss the future of health care in Clackmannanshire, If anyone wants to go
contact Keith about the details.
# C.C.T.V. cameras ( Don't faint with the shock ) but we are getting them, Three cameras and two mobile cameras ( Strikers ), A meeting will take place in
July to confirm this
# Keith had a site visit with Derek and Mike Nicol of Land Services at the back field in Deerpark to discuss the possibility of reinstating play equipment at
the low end where there was equipment before, This would be children' and teenage equipment, We discussed the skate park but concluded this would be better located at Fairfield Park as this was a flat surface.
This would involve us seeking a funding body to apply for the money to do this work, ( KT ).
# We would like to know if the Go Kart arena is going ahead as we support this project, ( GW ).
# At this point a petition was handed in to Gary to ask the council to provide more for children to do in terms of drop ins or activities in Sauchie.
# We failed to get the required funding for a new van, Coalfields Regeneration Trust are very supportive but the National Lottery turned us down for their
part of the funding, We are now in talks with Coalfields to see if we can find a way forward. ( KT ).
# We have now set up new Committee Structures - Executive Committee which runs the Group in accordance with the wishes of the members, (9), The
Leisure Committee made up of all those who work at the leisure events, (14), The Regeneration Committee which has one vacancy, (5), The Youth Committee (5), and Tiny Tots Committee, (3).
